In the midst of the most chaotic and busy year in the history of the campground industry, one industry leader found the time to kick-start a major new charitable giving partnership with Care Camps, the non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids fighting cancer get to camp.
RRM-CLM Services, LLC (a combination of Recreation Resource Management and California Land Management) is one of the largest campground management companies in the world, managing over 500 locations across the US at the federal, state, and local levels of public parks and recreation. Their company has jumped in with both feet to support Care Camps, not only with a major donation, but also in an ongoing charitable partnership initiative.
Warren Meyer, owner of RRM-CLM Services, LLC, announced today the new partnership with a first-time gift of $20,000 from the company.
“Our company is proud to begin this partnership with Care Camps with a gift that we hope will bring joy and hope to kids facing cancer in every community across the nation. All of us that love and respect the outdoors understand the intrinsic power that nature holds to bring healing and peace to our lives. Our team at RRM-CLM is excited to be a part of building the next generation of campers and nature lovers, ensuring that every child battling cancer gets the opportunity to experience healing outside of a hospital,” said Meyer.
In addition to the generous gift from the company, RRM-CLM’s management team and employees have been excited to get involved too. Many have taken the initiative to find their own creative ways to support the cause, including starting their own local fundraisers at campgrounds across the nation. From creating a custom quilt and raffling it off, hosting a campground “Walk for Love” with local dignitaries, to raffling off an early reservation ticket for the next camping season to the lucky winner, the team at RRM-CLM have been sharing the message of hope and healing with their campers and gathering donations. RRM-CLM campgrounds have raised several thousand dollars more in donations, all while navigating the overwhelming demands of the busiest camping season in the company’s history. On top of all the other activities and donations, the marketing team at RRM-CLM has also jumped in to share the mission of Care Camps with their customers through email campaigns, social media posts, and website content.
Jennifer Mercer of Care Camps said, “We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing support from the RRM-CLM team. From day one of learning about Care Camps, they have been such enthusiastic supporters of this new partnership, raising both funds and awareness for Care Camps across the nation. As a charity founded by campground owners 37 years ago, camping businesses are still the heart and soul of what we do at Care Camps, and we are thrilled to have more campgrounds joining the cause. I hope RRM-CLM’s example will inspire others to come on board and ensure every child facing cancer has the chance to experience the healing power of the outdoors at camp.”

CVF Capital Partners
In December 2020, CVF Capital Partners provided Recreation Resource Management with mezzanine debt and preferred equity to support the growth of the company and its acquisition of California Land Management. The merger expanded the company’s footprint to 13 states and over 500 public campgrounds. The capital from CVF was also used to retire existing debt and fund capital expenditures, including adding cabins and yurts to campgrounds. CVF has enjoyed its partnership with RRM-CLM Services and is excited to support the company in its continued growth.
